Above all Cartier watch creations, the Cartier Tank is by far one of the brand’s most noteworthy designs. Worn by the likes of Princess Diana, Jackie Kennedy and Angelina Jolie, the vintage-inspired rectangular case shape mimics the original Renault fighting machines of the First World War. Cartier Tank watches now come in many forms; the new Tank Must, Tank Francaise and Tank Americaine to mention just a few. Whilst adopting the same basic foundations, these newer versions have, along the way, been implemented with more modern values, to reward the new coming members of the Cartier watch universe, with something a little different each time.

The French watchmakers have introduced a long line of individual collections each one designed for a specific purpose and personality. Cartier Ballon Bleu watches are distinct in their elegant, round design. Taking inspiration from the swooping curves of a beautifully round balloon, the watches are intended to look like floating bubbles of air on the wrist.

Drive de Cartier watches are vintage-inspired designs that showcase cushion-shaped cases, integrated with domed sapphire crystal glass tops, and textured guilloche dials. Launched in 2016, the pedigree Cartier watch was equipped with an entirely new movement and is available in a version that provides a day and night feature, small seconds, large date and second time zone.
