The TUDOR Pelagos collection offers one of the most complete traditional mechanical divers' watches available today.
More on TUDOR Pelagos
The TUDOR Pelagos sets itself apart with its titanium bracelet, which boasts a steel folding clasp. This clasp features a one-of-a-kind auto-adjustable spring mechanism, developed and patented by TUDOR. This technical innovation enables the bracelet to adapt while diving, contracting under pressure at greater depths and expanding as the pressure decreases during the diver's ascent. Additionally, a complimentary rubber strap is included, equipped with an extension system for easy adjustment in various diving conditions.
The Pelagos 39 comes with the TUDOR “T-fit” clasp, allowing for swift length adjustment. Simple to use and requiring no tools, this system offers five positions for fine, instant adjustment of the bracelet's total length within an 8-millimetre adjustment window. The clasp also features a 25-millimetre bracelet extension function, allowing the watch to be worn over a wetsuit.
Distinctive "Snowflake" hands, with the hour hand characterized by a square tip, enable easy differentiation from the minute hand at a glance. This iconic feature, known as "Snowflake" in collectors' circles, has been a hallmark of TUDOR divers' watches since 1969.
The Pelagos models are driven by TUDOR Manufacture Calibres, ensuring high-performance durability, reliability, and precision. With a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, the owner can, for instance, take off the watch on a Friday evening and put it back on Monday morning without needing to wind it. Some models also include an instantaneous jump date display visible through a 3 o'clock aperture, in addition to the hour, minute, and central second functions.
Equipped with a helium escape valve, the TUDOR Pelagos and Pelagos LHD models are certified to a depth of 500 meters, an essential feature for safeguarding the watch during "saturation" dives.
The collection offers a range of fabric straps and metal bracelets, complemented by a rubber strap.
The Pelagos for left-handed divers, named LHD (Left Hand Drive), features a winding stem positioned to the left of the case, allowing the watch to be comfortably worn on the right wrist. This design pays homage to TUDOR's history of crafting dive watches specifically for left-handed professional divers. In the 1970s, the French Navy commissioned custom models for their left-handed divers.
The ceramic disc on the titanium unidirectional rotating bezel is adorned with luminous markers, ensuring all information remains legible even in extremely low visibility conditions.
