More on Tissot Watches
Tissot are widely recognised for quality and precision, two values for which the family worked hard to achieve in just a few years after taking the pocket watch assembly company (as it was known then) under their wing. In 1985 Tissot launched a variation made from Granite from the Alps - the Rockwatch, followed in 1986 by the Two Timer. The Two Timer was the first Tissot watch to combine an analog and a digital time display together - both activated by a single crown. The Pearl was then released in 1987, followed by the 1988 Wood Watch. It was not long after this when Tissot joined the Swatch Group, allowing all of the parts, materials and components to remain manufactured in the brand’s homeland. Paying tribute to the manufacture's location in Switzerland is the Tissot Le Locle collection.
One of the most impressive Tissot Watches, however, has to be the Tissot T-Touch, namely the Expert Solar which incorporates many of these modern features, via the activating of a refined LCD screen. The ultimate outdoor watch from Tissot features a lightweight titanium case and an anthracite dial for an ergonomic and ultra modern look. For a more understated design, Tissot T-Classic watches are composed and professional. Dressed in stunning stainless steel and yellow gold PVD coated finishes for example, the timepieces connect with a wearer in a unique way, instilling a sense of luxury through touch and aesthetic. Popular choices from the Tissot T-Classic collection include the Tissot PR100 watches and Tissot Chemin des Tourelles watches. The Tissot T-Lady collection was first created in 1998 and provided the opportunity for ladies to experience some of Tissot’s finest creations to date, designed especially inside feminine case constructions. The Tissot T-Lady T-Wave Round watch uses curvaceous lines to create an elegant silhouette on the wrist. The designs use stunning yellow gold PVD coated finishes on the case and throughout the dial, to enhance the beauty of white and black mother of pearl variations. Tissot T-Lady watches have been designed on much smaller dimensions to accommodate the feminine wrist. The dial widths are unimposing, yet equally as striking as the gentlemen’s variations, parading captivating petal-shaped hour markers and central hands to create something truly breathtaking each time.
The Tissot Sport collection is a line dedicated to the active, yet modern man. The designs incorporate robust, broad bezels, chronograph dials and legible tachymeter scales for recording personal bests at the gym. Tissot Watches from the Sport Collection are also designed for all types of outdoor use. Their rugged aesthetics are a result of robust materials which come together synergistically to house a number of mechanical and quartz movements - each one promising equal precision. The Tissot Sport can be used for swimming, cycling, running, and rowing, along with many other vigorous sports.
