Eschewing any legacy but respecting the traditions of Swiss watchmaking, SEVENFRIDAY founder Daniel Niederer and his counterpart Arnaud Duval have challenged the traditional stereotypes found in other brands of luxury watches. They also challenged the idea that such a watch had to have an exorbitant price.
The SEVENFRIDAY P-Series was the first watch introduced by SEVENFRIDAY. It sold about 12,000 in its first year; with sales aided by the company reaching potential customers via Instagram and other social media platforms. The SEVENFRIDAY P-Series "Essence" P1B/01 Steel Automatic Watch features a steel, rhodium and black dial with a steel finished minute hand and rose finished hour hand with a luminous coating. It has an Automatic Miyota movement with a specially hardened and anti-reflective mineral glass and is water-resistant to 30 meters.
In 2017, the Zurich-based watchmaker introduced its S-Series collection with a dual series SEVENFRIDAY S-Series S1/01 Essence and SEVENFRIDAY S2/01 Revolution. The limited S3/01 and the S3/02 Carbon edition debuted in 2018 along with the SEVENFRIDAY M3/01 whose design has been inspired by the ultimate industrial symbol, the spaceship.
The year 2019 was marked by the introduction of an update of the M3/01, featuring a blend of the old industrial elements and contemporary architecture and a casual-but-sophisticated design.
