As Panerai CEO Angelo Bonati has stated before: “The design of our first in-house caliber dates back to 2002. Few other watchmakers have succeeded in developing and making eight of its own calibres fully operational and available in just seven years. ” Since Bonati was brought in to run Panerai within the Richemont Group, the company has been working its way up the ranks within the Swiss luxury wristwatch world. Their deliberate choice to keep numbers of each product low, kept the watch in high demand amongst keen would-be retailers of the brand.

Working closely over the last seven years, Panerai automatic watches have soared in popularity and now sit among the elite of the watchmaking industry. The Panerai Luminor Due 38mm watch with a 18ct rose gold case and bright blue leather strap, is a gorgeous watch for wearing with plain coloured attire. The watch features an elegant small seconds dial at 9 o’clock highlighted by a bright blue central hand, and a date aperture on the opposite side for helping the wearer to keep track of all those important dates throughout the year. The power reserve indicator is situated between the 4 and 5 o’clock locations. It provides the wearer with a scale to gauge when the movement is running low on energy. The automatic watch can be altered using the polished stainless steel crown by lifting up the crown protecting lever - a flagship design of Panerai manufacture.
