More on Glashutte Original Pano Watches
Glashütte Original Pano watches ooze sophistication with their striking aesthetics and beautifully polished surfaces, making them one of the most popular designs from the brand. Years of dedication and determination in achieving absolute perfection certainly shine through in the materials and finishes chosen for these designs. Perfect as a dress watch, or equally as comfortable and understated for wearing day-to-day on the wrist, these stunning masterpieces are amongst some of our favourite designs here at Berry’s.
The Glashütte Original PanoReverse packs a lot into its 40mm case. The off-centre time-reading dial offers a smaller look than having the time presented on the mains display. The design feature has become a distinct look for watches within the Pano collection, embodying a sense of simplicity even through such unusual design ideas. Luminous paint has been applied to the central hands, allowing the gentleman a clear and easy look into the dial to retrieve instant information as and when he needs it.
Other instantly recognisable features of the Glashütte Original PanoReverse watch are elements like the large date aperture itself, positioned at 4 o’clock is generously sized numerals for enhancing legibility. The numbers are placed with a good distance between one another - a design feature that is mirrored throughout the rest of the dial where well-proportioned appliques maintain a clutter-free style. Those designs with a deep luxurious blue dial have silver finishes applied to the date window, whilst those with a galvanised silver dial are finished in a crisp black hue. The power reserve indicator, despite its relevance within the design, does not dominate the display itself. Crisp and clear, the gentleman is able to reference the remaining energy left in the watch with ease. The layout of the dial is so clever in that even though the features are positioned off centre, the dial communicates an air of symmetry and tidiness.
The Glashütte Original PanoReverse watch with 40mm silver dial and a black leather strap for example, is perfect for wearing on a daily basis. The clean silver tones of the dial complement a sleek polished stainless steel bezel to give the timepiece a disciplined and modest look for wearing to work or during the weekends. The black leather strap donates a comfortable finish to the skin and has been fitted with a stainless steel fasten to keep in line with the silvery lustre of the remaining steel casing.
The Glashütte Original Pano watch collection also showcases the PanoMaticLunar watch - a timepiece that plays out the beautiful phases of the moon against a backdrop of dancing stars. This line of watches portrays Glashütte Original’s quest for perfection, precision and beauty. Dial details are etched in gorgeous red gold tones, and the appliques are all precision carved to create a sleek and sharp look underneath a protective front made from sapphire crystal glass. These watches feature the off-centre main time-reading dial that are characteristic of the Pano watch collection, and the moonphase has been arranged on the other half of the dial with the date aperture at 4 o’clock just underneath this. Of course, a small second dial adds a little extra technical finesse, whilst the surface of the crown at 3 o’clock on the bezel bears the iconic double “G” logo to its surface,“ a lasting statement of authenticity.
