Breitling CEO Georges Kern explains a little about the origins of the new design having brainstormed a few ideas with German triathlete, Jan Frodeno - three-time Ironman World Champion after he raised the question of what wristwatch to wear whilst competing;

“With this watch, we adapted our SuperQuartz™ technology to the needs of people like Jan who play as hard as they work. And the Breitlight® case is so light that it won’t interfere with anyone’s training routine or sporting activity.”

In the past Breitling has underpinned its passion and interest in the sporting industry, partnering with the likes of Giro d’Italia and Tour de France, as well as legendary cyclists like Gino Bartali and Fausto Coppi. With the focus still remaining on accurate instruments that equip the wrists of competitors in IRONMAN® and triathlons, the Breitling Endurance Pro is a high-performance wristwatch optimized for cycling, running and swimming, since these are also sporting activities that individuals can enjoy at their own pace regardless of fitness levels.



As mentioned before, the Breitling Endurance Pro watch collection belongs to the Professional line. Each wristwatch from this family is powered by one of the brand’s SuperQuartz™ movements which promises an accuracy that exceeds a standard quartz movement by ten times. The model is also based on the Breitling Spirit watch from the 1970s, which combined a pulsometer feature with a remarkably lightweight resin design. Drawing from the vivid colours of this retro model, the new Breitling Endurance Pro watches feature a black dial with matching black bidirectional rotating bezel engraved with cardinal compass points. The inner bezel is where you’ll reference the clear pulsometer scale in a vibrant colour that coordinates with the watch’s rubber strap and a moulded easy-to-grip crown. Red, blue, orange, white or yellow variations enhance legibility for keeping track of your heart rate, yet also add undeniable sportiness to the rest of the design. The case of a Breitling Endurance Pro watch is crafted from the manufacturer’s Breitlight® technology - an ultra-lightweight, thermally-stable, nonmagnetic, scratch-resistant and anti-corrosive material.



There’s also a choice of colourful ECONYL® yarn NATO straps to purchase separately if you’re in favour of transforming the look of the Endurance Pro on the wrist. For nighttime use (or whenever referencing the watch in lowlight conditions), the use of Breitling’s Super-LumiNova technology will come in handy. The hour and minute hands have been treated in this coating, and the chronograph second hand is crafted into a red pointer to differentiate it from the main timekeeping indices. The chronograph counters placed in the 10-2-6 layout offer 30 minutes, 1/10th of a second, and small seconds respectively.

The 100-meter water-resistant Endurance Pro watches are, without a doubt, distinct Breitling thoroughbreds through-and-through.
